Citrozest
Features
NSOAB9® is a natural feed additive designed to maintain the performance of animals in degraded sanitary conditions.
- Improves growth under downgraded sanitary conditions
- Stabilization of the digestion under downgraded sanitary conditions
- 100% natural
Issues
Digestive disorders are common in fattening pigs. Known for years, they remain an important issue, especially in the context of reducing the use of antibiotics.
If they are not under control, they are very contagious. They cause an inflammation of the intestine and therefore a chronic degradation of the consumption index. In some situations, they can be expressed in an acute form with sudden mortality of finishing pigs. In all cases, they are costly for farmers.
An integrated approach combining epidemic prevention and biosecurity management is essential to anticipate these digestive disorders.
Composition
The main ingredients of the product are fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum), quillaja (Quillaja saponaria), citrus extracts (Citrus sp.) and chicory roots (Cichorium intybus).
Thus formulated, the product is presented in powder form. It can be used directly on farms or incorporated into feed by manufacturers. It resists very well to granulation or extrusion treatments.

Trial results
During the test period from 60 kg to slaughter at 100 kg live weight, the control group was fed a standard diet and the experimental group was fed a standard diet containing 1500 ppm NSOAB9® powder. Faeces were sampled and analyzed quantitatively by real-time PCR for Lawsonia intracellularis and Brachyspira hyodysenteriae.
Results showed that pigs supplemented with NSOAB9® powder were significantly less infected with Lawsonia intracellularis and Brachyspira hyodysenteriae than pigs from the control group. Feed consumption of pigs supplemented with NSOAB9® was improved by 22%.

Usage
Mode of action
-
1
The citrus and chicory extracts stimulate the acidophilic microbial flora to ensure a prebiotic effect and a good digestive efficiency.
-
2
The various saponins provided by fenugreek and quillaja complete the prebiotic activity.
-
3
Stabilization of the digestion and improvement of the growth in degraded sanitary conditions.
-
4
The blend of plant extracts used in NSOAB9® stabilize digestion under downgraded sanitary conditions
Various applications
For pigs
In pigs from week 8 when sanitary conditions are degraded.
